Mt. Sterling Independence Day Celebration July 4 2026

The Mt. Sterling Independence Day Celebration promises to be a great event.  Gate to the High School Football Stadium open at 4:30pm, festivities start at 5 pm. Food trucks and concessions, living history exhibits, games for the kids, and live bands all afternoon. The formal program starts at 8 pm with a US Army band, Spirit of ’76 Fife and Drums, SAR supporting the color guard and much more ending up with a professional fireworks show at approx. 9:15pm.  The entire program is free admission.  If you’d like to participate in the color guard be sure to be there by 7:30pm. Watch for an email with more details for participation,  Even just coming out to enjoy the festivities should be an excellent patriotic evening. Chairs would probably be a good thing to bring along.
