We are The Lafayette Chapter, Kentucky Society, Sons of the American Revolution. Our chapter takes its name from the hero of the revolution The Marquis de Lafayette who visited Lexington, Kentucky later in his life in 1825. With national affiliation, and state charter, the local chapter is where its members serve. The Lafayette chapter has local leadership with local goals and objectives and serves alongside other affiliate chapters of our state and national organizations. Our chapter is based in Lexington, Kentucky but we occasionally meet at other historically significant sites throughout Central Kentucky. We welcome your interest in our organization and hope you will consider joining us. The SAR Pledge aptly sums up our goal:

‘We the descendants of heroes of the American Revolution who, by their sacrifices, established the United States of America, reaffirm our faith in the principals of liberty and our Constitutional Republic, and solemnly pledge ourselves to defend them against every foe.’
