DESCRIPTION:Event cancelled due to storm damage at the cemetery \nMarking the grave of SAR Compatriot Major General Joseph Cabell Breckinridge Sr. \nJoseph Cabell Breckinridge Sr. (January 14\, 1842 – August 18\, 1920) was a Union Army officer from Kentucky during the American Civil War. In later life\, he became a brigadier general in the U.S. Regular Army and Inspector General of the Army as well as a major general of volunteers in the Spanish–American War. SUMMARY:Battle of Blue Licks Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:Anyone interested in presenting a wreath or participating in the color guard should contact Scott Giltner at stgilt@earthlink.net if you have not already done so.  Please indicate if you will be bringing your state flag.  Color guard flag bearers are requested to muster at 8:45 a.m. at the monument on the day of the ceremony.  The flag bearer muster has been moved 15 minutes earlier.  Those carrying flintlock firearms will muster for a safety inspection near the lodge at 8:30 a.m.  Detailed instructions on the mustering points will be provided closer to the date of the ceremony.
