Joseph S Rumbaugh Historical Oration Contest: Don Adams, Chairman – EMAIL.

Local Award presented annually to the best historical oration. The submission deadline is December 1. First place winner advances to Statewide competition. Statewide awards: 1st place $500, 2nd place $300 and 3rd place $100. State winner advances to national contest with; 1st place winner receives $2,000, 2nd place receives $1,000 and 3rd place winner receives $500.

George and Stella Knight Historical Essay Contest: Dale Henley, Chairman EMAIL

Local Award presented annually to the best historical essay. The submission deadline is December 1. First place winner advances to Statewide competition. Statewide awards: 1st place $500, 2nd place $300 and 3rd place $100. State winner advances to national contest with; 1st place winner receives $3,000, 2nd place receives $2,000 and 3rd place winner receives $1,000.

 Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Contest: Michael Krause, Chairman –EMAIL

This competition is open to all Eagle Scouts who are curently registered in an active unit and have not reached their 19th birthday during the calendar year of application. Three cash  awards will be presented. The National first place winner receives $10,000, the second place winner is awarded $6,000, and the  third place winner is awarded $4,000. The application consisits of a four-page application form, a four-generation ancestor chart and a 500 word patriotic-themed essay.
